The club scene at large couldn't be what it is without a liberal gaggle of drag queens. These heavenly creatures can bring glamour and style to any old dive, any time. Women are predictably scared stiff of them 'cos they fear their limelight (and often their man) will ruthlessly be stolen from them before they can say 'get your coat'. Beware little ladies, chicks with dicks aren't shrinking violets. They bust their gut taking their femininity to extremes in their quest for irresistible sex appeal. They're bent on reducing real femmes to inept, invisible misses and, given half a chance, seducing their partner before the night is over. And that's just part of a fun night out. Think twice if you thought about arguing with them; they bite, claw and if they don't beat you to a pulp, a kick from their stiletto heel might prove fatal. I should know, some of these guys are my oldest, closest and dearest. The truth is, they're a lovely bunch, really. Just feast your eyes on la crème de la crème ... |
