B.B. is, in my opinion, the silver screen's greatest and most modern sex symbol. No contest. No one came anywhere near her throne before, during or after her reign. I have been a fan since my early teens and have so far written two in-depth features about her. 'You've Come A Long Way BB', commissioned by Mojo Magazine, had to suffer drastic cuts, not to mention that a misguided editor decided to stick - ahem - Nick Cave's mug on the cover. He didn't realise that, just like Marilyn Monroe, any publication featuring Bardot on its cover becomes an instant worldwide collector's item. If you're in any doubt of that fact, just look on ebay or ask in any vintage magazine shop. However, I find 'Initials BB', the second piece I wrote for Pout Magazine far more satisfying. Not only did I edit it myself, but also picked all the images from my large collection of BB artifacts, including the two now very desirable covers.
